Adjacent to Duke Centennial Hall, the Motorsports Engineering building is the home of the motorsports concentration of the Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree program. The 5,000-square-foot building provides working space and facilities for the program’s Formula SAE, mini-baja, Legends Racing, dragster and other student race teams. Diagnostic research systems within the facility include chassis, engine and shock dynamometers; data acquisition systems including PI and CDS; as well as a flow bench scales, tire rate testers and bump steer gauge.
